Results of Portland versus Maine
bbackup - May 02, 2020 08:34PM
These results are for all 6 games they replace the earlier results posted by Jim because the wrong lineups were used.
In game 1 Portland lead 10-2 going in to the bottom of the seventh. Maine added 3 runs in the bottom of the inning and 4 more in the bottom of the ninth and had the tying run on in Austin Barnes, but he was caught stealing and the final was 10-9. In game 2 Portland lead 5-0 going in to the bottom of the ninth, Maine rallied to tie it, but Portland scored 10 runs in the top of the 10th to win it 15-6. In game 3 the Pale Hose scored 6 in the bottom of the first but Portland had tied it by the 6th inning. It stayed knotted until the bottom of the 13th when Tommy Pham homered to win it for Maine. The winner was Brett Martin who threw 72 pitches and 5 shutout innings. After Maine gave up 25 runs in the first two, he was the last man standing in the bullpen and he did the job.
The series in Portland wasn't as interesting except for game 2. Portland one the first game 8-2. Trailing 4-1 in the bottom of the ninth they hit 2 homeruns and had a runner on with one out before a GIDP ended the game with Maine on top 4-3. Portland won the finale 9-1 behind an unlikely complete game win by CHi Chi Gonzalez.

Sisskiyou Rotisserie - May 03, 2020 11:15PM
Rotisserie drops the first game, but wins the next two to take the series. Heyward has a hell of a series, with a pair of home runs setting up the unlikeliest of heroes, with Grossman getting the clutch two out hit to take the final lead. Game Three had me extremely aware of JD Martinez's slash vLHP, as Gio gets the start. Considered walking him when he led off an inning. Pitched to him and got the out. Next inning he came up with the bases loaded and two outs. Gio's luck only goes so far, and his triple opened the scoring giving Texas a 3-0 lead. Rotisserie clawed back one by one, and the bullpen did it's thing, and we end up with a 5-3 win. Second and third game each had us losing a key player to injury, though fortunately just for the game, so mp ready to go for the Hen House next week.
