2020 Series 25
Greg Tamer - October 12, 2021 07:03PM
|
|
|
TRHL Owners,
Series 24 has been completed.
REMINDERS:
1. Now that we're in September, all players hereafter (but not listed below) signed cannot be retained in the off-season. Again, those signed below can be retained for next season. Also, any player signed hereafter cannot be on a post-season roster.
2. You can now have 40 players on your active roster. What a silly rule.
3. It's 25 IP minimium for pitchers, 75 PA for batters to be on the active roster, even with the replacement level system in use (for catchers now; all players in September).
4. All players can now be used beyond 110%/150% but with the replacement level system enabled.
1st half results not submitted: None!
2nd half results not submitted:
1. Rogers @ Pale Hose
2. McCallions @ French Terriers
3. Clowns @ Pirates
(*) - Backup results submitted
(**) - Notified in advance
Automatic farmings due to overuse: None! Replacement-level system is enabled!
Any promotions by the file drone can be changed prior to the playing of the current series' games, and the re-farming does not acount toward the three farm limit. File drone promotes to players to ensure active roster is at mandatory minimum 25 (maximum 26) players.
Also, I'm not worrying about promoting a player if team drops to 25 active. I'll do something if active roster goes below 25 men.
Transactions:
Whitecaps sign Leody Taveras, $2, and Andres Gimenez, release Tyler Kinley and Tyler Heineman.
Rotisserie sign Homer Bailey.
Anunnaki sign Dwight Smith, as 41st player to has 26 on active roster.
Clowns sign Chris Paddack, David Peterson, Bryan Garcia, $7, Kyle Finnegan, Nick Tropeano, and Zack Britton, $6, release Jimmy Herget, Chad Kuhl, Jacob Webb, Taylor Williams, Daniel Robertson, and Yoenis Cespedes.
Injuries (> 3 days):
9/2 HW Moustakas 11
9/2 NOR Segura 7
9/4 MMC Brosseau 15
9/6 NRI Goodrum 10
9/6 CBB Gurriel,Y 6

Game 1 - Brandon Woodruff came in at 18-2 versus Robbie Ray 0-22. The NRIs, with most of their lefty hitters either at 150%, farmed to prevent injury, or injured, only scored 1 run off Ray, but a 3 run homer by Adam Duvall in the bottom of the 8th off Minter proved to be the difference, as the NRIs won 4-1.
In game 2 Tyler Glasnow continued his execrable season, giving up 6 runs in 3.1 IP and BDM held on to win 7-6. Glasnow's record dropped to 7-11, pretty bad since the NRIs have only lost 39 games all season.
In game 3 Lamet upped his record to 19-4, pitching a complete game, 12 strikeout no-hitter.
For NRIs @ BDM let computer manager pick starting pitchers, please use the following lineups
Wheeler - RHP Neutral
Ray, Alexander - LHP hurt LHB 300

Game 1: The McCallions knock around Smyly a bit, taking a 5-3 lead after four, with the game ending the same way
Game 2: The McCallions get their second run in the top of the ninth, which is enough for Keller, as he allows only one in a 2-1 CG win.
Game 3: Pablo Lopez and the bullpen combine on a 5 hit shutout, as the McCallions win 6-0.
Game 4: Another shutout for the McCallions as Dunning and two relievers allow only 4 hits. Fiers allows only 4 hits as well, and no walks, in a complete game for the 'Topes, but the McCallions are able to somehow assembled three runs out of them in a 3-0 win
Game 5: The McCallions' bats are ready and able, roughing up Martin Perez early and often, as Vlad Jr has his best game of the season, going 4 for 5 with a pair of homers. The 'Topes get a couple runs late, but the McCallions take the win by a score of 10-3
Game 6: The score is 1-1 after four, and stays that way until the top of the 12th, when the 'Topes put up a pair on the board. The McCallions put a couple runners on in the bottom of the inning, but Dolis induces a clutch double play, and the 'Topes take a 3-1 win to avoid the sweep.
The McCallions will need to revisit their MP before the next series, in order to reset their rotation.

Chinook won the first 3 against the Pirates w/ little trouble to extend our winning streak to 19, then returned home and played 3 of the worst games I've ever seen (LOBs/DPs galore, getting shutout for 25 consecutive innings against Northcoast pitchers w/ ERAs in the 5-7 range.)

Advancing to replacement level seems to suit UCity, as they manage to take all three at home. Josh Rojas hurt for the rest of the year.

Sisskiyou Rotisserie - October 18, 2021 12:58PM
|
|
|
Siskiyou stays strong despite several players gettin' pretty tired, as we take 5 of 6, dropping just the middle game of our homestand. Almost came back in the 9th in that game, but didn't quite make it. Then The Outlaws almost came back in the 9th of game 6, but didn't quite make it.
Note for Greg: Since the deadline is extended I updated this file to include a new MP for next period.

Wind/Wagstaffs classic September series

While Wichita did not gain ground in trying to escape the cellar, boy oh boy was it fun -- 54 runs in the last two games alone!
The series split, though, so we're as we were coming in.
