Havana drops the middle game to Indianapolis, sits at 5-1. I don't remember the last time we started off a season this good. Maybe never. It might acttually be a good season in Stogieville. There is hope.

I thought I'd posted this already. With state testing for my students this week and next (just shoot me now), my brain's been a bit scrambled. Three more weeks and I get to send all of the kiddos onto the next grade. Woohoo! Havana will score runs this year. That's not in question. We'll be much improved. I didn't see any results, so here's all six simmed. Havana wins (!) 4 out of 6 games. I don't know how this happened.

Havana, now with functional internet (we still don't have a functional team, but that's a different story entirely) manages to shut out the Clowns in the middle game. Just don't ask about the other two, which went as expected.

I didn't see first half results, so I played both parts of the series. Huxley wins 4 of 6.

It can't get worse, can it. This is going to be the worst finish in the history of the league. Trust in the process. This is painful. Very painful. Next year is looking a lot better, thankfully.

Here's Havana's MP. If you squint hard enough, you can make out an actual plan. Load up on rookies and players coming off of a bad season and hope for a rebound. It's working for some players and not so well on others. I have the makings of a good rotation if some of these rookies or injury cases hit. Havana wins the last game. A couple of injuries for the Clowns (Simmons and Anderson) but the longer of the two was only 10 days.

Wichita wins 2 of 3 at Havana

Havana drops 2 out of 3 to Burlington.

Havana actually wins a series, taking 2 of 3 from Corpus Christi. Joc Peterson is going to miss a couple of weeks for Corpus after he was plunked by Stogies pitching.
