G1: Hanser Alberto hits a slam in the 2nd and Chirinos makes it stick for his 11th W. TBC 6-2.
G2: Chinook get to Pena early and extend winning streak to 9. Gray K's 10. TBC 7-2.
G3: Wieters hits the early slam and Indy pen notches 4 IP of scoreless relief. IND 5-2.

Demoralizing week for the Rotisserie. That first game on the road for us was crazy. 0-0 for fifteen innings! Then Siskiyou sores! Then Firedogs score twice. Our 2-4 on the week isn't the worst week ever, but the way it starts and ends is brutal.

Anyone who wants to get a jump on any email I get around to sending, Rotisserie is pretty over this season as far as intentions of competing for a playoff berth. Anyone who isn't a long term asset is available. Lots of good relievers to be had, and some useful lineup bit pieces.

Game One at home Siskiyou wins 4-2. Buehler pitches six good but not outstanding innings. German falls an out short, and a charged with all four Siskiyou runs, two from a Realmuto homer, and then a couple doubles a single, and a walk accounted for the other two.

Game Two was a bit of a route, winning 9-1. Rotisserie led 6-0 after three, roughing up JA Happ pretty badly. Giolito cracked in the seventh for one run, but Rotisserie bounced back in the bottom of the inning for three more. Morgan somehow held the Firedogs hitless for two innings, striking out three and walking none. That's how it goes with your innings eaters. They pitch well when I don't care if they give up a few runs.

Game Three though. There's something about Josh Hader that just doesn't work when I use him. His overall stats are great, which means he's been super dominant on the road, because half the times I use him he blows it. But I'm getting ahead of myself.

With the lefty Gio on the mound, the Firedogs lineup looked pretty fierce. But he gets through the first without giving up a run, and Rotisserie get to DeSclafani right away, tagging him for three in the bottom of the inning. Gio continues to pitch well, giving up a solo homer to Justin Turner in the 2nd, but Siskiyou adds runs in the 3rd and 4th, to make it 5-2. Hoping to let Gonzalez get through five, and with his pitch count obliging, I perhaps gave him too long a leash, as he surrenders three runs in the 5th. 5-4. Rotisserie tacks on a run in the 8th to make it 6-4. The entire bullpen is available for this game. Baez relieves Gio and throws 2 1/3 giving up a hit and a walk. Kela takes 2/3 an inning unblemished. Osuna takes 2/3 giving up a hit, but retires the next two. Great. Two outs in the 9th. This is where I take fate into my hands to deny us the sweep. The lefty Gardner's at the plate. I started the lefty, so their lefty mashing bench isn't great. So I bring in Hader to get the last out. Enrique Hernandez PHs. OK, fine. Enrique Hernandez hits a HR to tie the ballgame. Not fine. Rotisserie goes down weakly in the 9th. Hader stays in to pitch the 10th. Surrenders five runs. Final score 11-6, in ten.

May make some bullpen changes before the Canons next week, though if I do, it will only make the team decidedly worse. Except maybe Josh Hader. Maybe I should farm him at home.

Edit: A letter. Rotisserie seem to go down weekly too, but that's not what I intended to say there.
