This series marks the first time since the first half of series one that Portland hasn't had somebody on the DL. Please don't hurt anybody, I'd love to play my half of a series some time this season without somebody hurt.

Please use the lineup named RHP hurt LHB against Urquidy and lineup name RHP hurt RHB against Hudson and Alcantara.

Phillies non-Verlander pitching sucks.

I'm going dark on DMB until at least next Wednesday. If I don't show back up by Thursday, someone sort out this mess of a pitching staff for my next opponent.

On a rainy day in Maine, BDM and Kershaw (4-4) simply pounded the Hose and Gonzalez (5-4) winning 10-3. The following day, the Hose and Sanchez (7-1) beat BDM and Gallen (1-2) 9-3.In a rainy finale, Jimenez lead the way for the Hose going 2 for 4 with 2 Hrs and 4 RBIs to power Lopez (7-2) and the Hose to a 6-1 victory. [Springer was injured for this game and 7 more days.]

UCA breaks out the whooping sticks and behind 6 McNeil hits and 3 Alonso HRs, batters the Topes bullpen and wins 17-1. Game 2 - UCity hits 4 more homers and wins 6-3. Game 3 - Temple City salvages one as Harold Ramirez hits a go-ahead homer and the Isotopes prevail 9-5. Caleb Smith hurt for 3 weeks. UCA MP ready to go for the back half of the series. Good luck.

Wichita wins 2 of 3 at Havana

Jaxx get a rare sweep at home, winning the finale 2-0 on a complete game, 11 K performance from Andrew Heaney.

Game 1 saw the Jaxx go up 9-0 before the Stogies tacked on 5 runs late in the game, 9-5 Wichita.
Game 2 Jaxx had a 5-1 lead before needing help with 2-on 2-out in the 9th to hold on, 5-4.

Firedogs take 4 of 6.

For the second period in a row Portland sweeps on the road and then gives most of it back by losing two out of three at home. Both losses in a painful fashion - in game 1 a 15 inning loss and in game 3 leading 3-2 in the top of the seventh with the infield in a PR base runner scored from third on a ground ball to a VG second basemen this was the first run of what turned out to be a five run inning.

I think that the computer manager must have had some inside information as even it is not usually dumb enough to send a runner in a situation like that. On the other hand, since I keep losing at home maybe I'd better stop questioning the computer manager's intelligence.

Heroes take the first two at home, Rogers the last one.

Wagstaffs take 2 of 3 versus HenHouse / 4 of 6 overall.

Rotissere gets what I'm pretty sure is our first sweep of the week this year, and maybe the second in our franchise history (dating back to last year, when we started this format, but still...).

Game One 5-4. Stroman finally pitches well, after a pretty awful start. Seven IP with two runs, one earned. Kyle Seager hits a two run HR in the 9th off Hader to make it close, but then finishes it off.

Game Two 6-3. Gausman pitches good enough to win, though unfortunately he beaned Segura in the head knocking him out for 16 games. Sorry about that. The decision didn't come from the bench. Siskiyou pulled out to an early lead with four in the first, and though Northcoast would claw back to make it 4-3 by the third, Siskiyou pulls away in the fifth, and holds the Pirates scoreless over the remainder.

Game Three 4-1. Buehler is having a great year. Pitches another gem, finishing the game and striking out ten against no walks. The CGSO ruined only by a two out ninth inning Franmil Reyes HR.
