MPs ready for Series 12: Pale Hose, Clowns

Full week for Siskiyou. We stay hot at home, though lost 2 on the road.

Game One Rotisserie 11-4. Game was even less close than the score lets on, as Siskiyou led 8-0 through the 6th. Cracked in the 7th and 9th, but also added runs. This was the kind of game where I let Tsutsugo hit against the righty for usage reasons, despite a .182/.302/.383 slash vR and he hits a home run. Come on guys. Save some of those runs for later.

Game Two Rotisserie 8-4. Much more competitive game, as Wichita scored first in the 4th taking a 3-0 lead, and it wasn't until the 7th that the Siskiyou bats came live. I felt kind of bad about this win. The computer manager really hosed Wichita. Kept brining in exactly the wrong relievers to face my hitters. Probably the most blatant example of a computer manager blowing a game as I've experienced when playing.

Game Three Rotisserie 3-2. This was a legit good game. Kremer matched up well against a lefty-heavy Wichita team, and Urias stumbled out of the gate but then settled down to go seven. Siskiyou scored two in the first and their third in the second, with Wichita scoring their runs in the 4th and 5th. Both bullpens held for the final.

MP ready for next week. As usual will require a SP change for the latter half.

After a brief burst of mediocrity, BDM returns to form losing all three at home.

Portland sweeps three very one-sided games. For Portland @ Brockton let computer manager pick starting pitchers, please use the following lineups:

Havana, now with functional internet (we still don't have a functional team, but that's a different story entirely) manages to shut out the Clowns in the middle game. Just don't ask about the other two, which went as expected.

Three close games, the visitors take them all. Ugh.

Three one-run games, Rogers manage to win two of them, the rubber game being a thrilling pitcher's duel between Wainwright and Kershaw. However for some reason the computer manager left Wainwright in to implode in the bottom of the 9th with the Rogers finally getting to him for their first two runs of the game on a JBJ game-winning two-run double with two outs.

Rogers now lead the league with 7 wins after trailing after 7 innings, mostly a byproduct of often trailing after 7 innings in the first place.

First three games

Pale Hose happy to return home ... In the opener Sanchez (1-4) garners his first Win of the season while McCullers (0-4) is still seeking that first W as the Hose prevail 5-3. Exciting middle game goes 12 innings with the Breakers scoring 2 in the top of the 12th but the Hose answer with 3 in the bottom of the 12th winning 7-6. The finale featured a true pitchers duel with Keuchel (10-2) and the Hose topping Bauer (9-5) 2-0. No injuries and good news for the Mainely gang as Tim Anderson comes off the IL for series 13!

Whitecaps sweep the three at home behind some dominant pitching. Our MP should be ready but I will confirm in S13 because the roster may change.

Topes take two of the last three

The McCallions return the favor, being swept at home in two somewhat close games (8-5 in Game 2, 9-7 in Game 3), and being thoroughly stomped in the other, in a 7-0 2-hitter 17 K victory for the Heroes.

Took first game lost next two but they were a lot closer than the slaughter in Portland first 3 of this series.

Which one of these is not like the others? Game 1- The teams trade goose eggs for the first 9.5 innings before Buxton hits a walk off 2 run homer. Game 2 - Michael Fulmer might not be very good. Terriers have a grand ole time in an 18-4 win. Game 3 - An early RBI from Iglesias almost stands up, but Buxton ties it in the 9th with another homer. All for nothing though as Brinson hits one out in the 11th, and Alston holds for a 2-1 win. No injuries.
